JetBlue Makes Booking Flights Easier with Venmo Payment Option
Starting today, U.S.-based travelers can now pay for their JetBlue flights using Venmo at checkout, the airline announced. Venmo, a popular peer-to-peer payment app powered by PayPal, allows users to pay using their Venmo balance, linked bank accounts, or debit and credit cards.
JetBlue’s chief digital and technology officer, Carol Clements, emphasized the airline’s commitment to making booking easier for customers. “Adding Venmo offers a seamless payment option for customers who enjoy the ease and convenience of the Venmo platform,” she said.
JetBlue is the first U.S. airline to offer Venmo as a payment method, which is available for bookings made directly on its website. The option will soon be available on the airline’s mobile app in the spring, further simplifying the payment process.
To use Venmo, travelers can select it from the “Secure Payment” tab at checkout and log in with their username and password. This is part of a broader trend where airlines like American Airlines and Delta are offering flexible payment options such as book-now, pay-later services through platforms like Affirm, PayPal, and Klarna.
