Lufthansa is expanding its Allegris experience to more travelers this year. The German airline has announced new routes that will feature its upgraded in-flight offering, which includes a complete redesign of the economy, premium economy, business, and first-class cabins.
Starting March 30, passengers on flights from Munich to San Diego and from mid-April on New York-Newark will experience the refreshed interiors. Additionally, Allegris flights to Charlotte are set to begin in early August. The Allegris experience, launched in 2024, is a major upgrade in long-haul flight comfort and applies to all fare classes. Those who have already booked these routes will receive a complimentary upgrade to an Allegris seat.
The Allegris First Class has been receiving significant attention, with some describing it as akin to staying in a luxury hotel room. One of the standout features is the “Suite Plus,” a double cabin with ceiling-high walls, a fully private door, a spacious table, and two large seats that can convert into a double bed. While there’s no extra fee for choosing your cabin, Lufthansa charges a 1,900 Euro surcharge for single-use reservations of the Suite Plus.
Business Class also brings enhancements, such as higher walls, sliding doors, more space, and a 27-inch monitor. Passengers can select from additional options, including an extra-long bed, a larger work area, a baby bassinet, or an exclusive window seat. The Allegris Business Class was honored with the German Design Awards Gold for 2025, with the jury praising it for setting new standards in seating flexibility and catering to passengers’ diverse needs.
The Allegris experience will be available on the following destinations starting after March 30:
